Blue Line: All trains will operate on the outbound/eastbound track between Wonderland and Revere Beach the weekend of September 26 – 27, for switch work.

Train service between Wonderland and Revere Beach will operate on the outbound (Wonderland) track approximately every 14 minutes. At Revere Beach, riders will board at the normal platform locations. Inbound service will continue beyond Revere Beach and operate normally to Bowdoin. Wayfinding: Riders are encouraged to follow directions via station signage and from onsite station personnel. Train predictions via countdown clocks will not be available between Wonderland and Revere Beach. Fares: No fares will be collected at Wonderland. Travel Time: Riders will experience longer wait times and should allow extra travel time during this work.

Orange Line: Service will be suspended between Oak Grove and Back Bay from August 20 - 30. Riders can use shuttles between Oak Grove and North Station, and the Green Line between North Station and Copley/Back Bay.

Scope of Work: Crews will replace and upgrade the track area at Chinatown while also upgrading signals at Wellington and North Station which will strengthen service reliability. Local Shuttle Service: Free and accessible shuttle buses will service all stations between Oak Grove and North Station. Express Shuttle Service: Free and accessible shuttles will service Oak Grove, Malden Center, Wellington, and North Station. Alternatively, if possible, travel 0.2 miles north on Washington St to Chinatown Station. To board, use Chinatown Elevator 922 to access the Forest Hills platform. Take a Forest Hills-bound train to Tufts Medical Center transfer to an Oak Grove-bound train.

Green Line E Branch: Symphony station is closed for major accessibility upgrades. Riders can use Prudential or Northeastern to access E Branch service. The station is expected to reopen in 2029.

Alternate Service Options: • Riders who typically board or disembark at Symphony can instead board or disembark at Northeastern University or Prudential, which are 0.3 miles away (or about a five-minute walk) from Symphony. • Riders are encouraged to instead consider travelling on the Orange Line at Massachusetts Avenue, which is 0.1 miles (or about a three-minute walk) from Symphony. • Riders may also use the Route 39, which operates parallel to the E branch in both directions along Huntington Avenue. Background: Currently, there are no step-free pathways from the entrances to the platforms at Symphony, and the station is not able to be accessed by people with wheeled mobility devices. When construction is complete in spring 2029, Symphony will be enhanced with four new accessible elevators, raised platforms for easier boarding, accessible bathrooms, improved wayfinding, more lighting, and upgraded safety features, making the station safer and easier to use for all riders.

The stairway connecting the Jackson Square lobby and the south end of the platform is closed until winter 2026. Use the stairway at the north end of the platform. This closure is for the construction of a new stairway and a second elevator.

Littleton/Route 495 passengers can expect occasional traffic and detours when accessing the station due to the Foster Street reconstruction work.

Scheduled to complete sometime in 2027, the reconstruction of Foster Street includes widening and resurfacing, with the addition of bicycle lanes.

There is no accessible path connecting the inbound and outbound platforms at Wellesley Square Station. The existing path includes steep slopes and is long. Designs are underway to provide for a fully compliant pathway.

There are accessible mini-high platforms at the western end of both the Track 1 and Track 2 sides. However, the existing pedestrian path between the two sides is long and includes steep slopes, especially on the Crest Road bridge over the tracks. Designs are underway to provide for a fully compliant pathway.

The Riverside Ave entrance at Campello Station is currently closed. Passengers may continue to use the Plain St entrance.

Exit train onto the center platform. Transfer to an Ashmont or Braintree train.

About halfway down the concourse, take a left through the set of glass doors marked 101 Arch St. Follow signs to the elevator. Take elevator to the 101 Arch St lobby and exit on Summer St. To board: Proceed to 101 Arch St on Summer St (across from Macy’s). Take elevator located in the rear-left corner of the lobby to Summer St concourse. At the concourse, turn right and follow signs to Oak Grove platform.

Select areas of the Anderson/Woburn MBTA Daily Lot and Gated Overnight Lot will be temporarily closed for major paving and infrastructure improvement work.

Beginning July 13, 2026, the Woburn Anderson Regional Transportation Center will undergo a major paving and infrastructure improvement project, with work expected to be completed by November 16, 2026. To support these critical renovations and enhance the long-term safety and functionality of the facility, select areas of the MBTA Daily Lot and the gated Overnight Lot will be temporarily closed throughout the construction period. Hingham Ferry Parking Notice: Passengers should allow for extra time to park and to access the ferry in Hingham due to work being done for the new dock. In addition, Route 220 buses are bypassing the shipyard and are remaining on Route 3A.

Pedestrian Access: There is no access between the Hingham Ferry Terminal and DCR building. Pedestrian access to and from the ferry dock is through and around the west side of the Hingham Ferry Terminal. Some sidewalk access at the Terminal may also be restricted during this work. Shipyard Drive: Shipyard Drive is closed to traffic in front of the Hingham Ferry Terminal. Traffic is being rerouted through the Hingham Parking lot. Drop-offs and pick-ups have been relocated to the parking lot. Traffic police and signage will be in place to direct traffic.

The escalator will remain out of service for the foreseeable future. This decision was made after a thorough inspection determined that corrosion on the escalator’s steel truss was so severe that it could not be repaired further and that a complete replacement of the escalator would be required. Replacing the escalator at this location requires a more extended unit meeting modern escalator safety requirements. This longer unit will require significant alteration to the station entrance to meet code requirements. The MBTA has currently begun design work to understand what station upgrades will be needed. Due to these complexities, we expect the escalator will remain out of service for a significant time. We recognize the challenges this poses to our riders, and please know we are working to identify a solution as quickly as possible. In the meantime, Government Center Station, which is fully accessible and serves the Blue Line, is under a quarter-mile from Bowdoin Station.
