Shuttle buses replace service between North Billerica and Lowell stations after 10 PM on June 8-12, 15-19, & 22-26 and all day on the weekends of June 20-21 & 27-28 to accommodate stair replacement work.

Broadway Escalator 367 (Platform to paid lobby) is unavailable due to maintenance.

Littleton/Route 495 passengers can expect occasional traffic and detours when accessing the station due to the Foster Street reconstruction work.

Scheduled to complete sometime in 2027, the reconstruction of Foster Street includes widening and resurfacing, with the addition of bicycle lanes.

Route 70 will be detoured from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Wed, Jun 17 for the Taste of Cambridge event. Connections can be made at River St @ Green St (inbound) and Western Ave @ Green St (outbound).

Courthouse Escalator 417 (Airport/Design Center platform to south lobby) is unavailable due to ongoing construction at the station.

There is no accessible path connecting the inbound and outbound platforms at Wellesley Square Station. The existing path includes steep slopes and is long. Designs are underway to provide for a fully compliant pathway.

There are accessible mini-high platforms at the western end of both the Track 1 and Track 2 sides. However, the existing pedestrian path between the two sides is long and includes steep slopes, especially on the Crest Road bridge over the tracks. Designs are underway to provide for a fully compliant pathway.

Route 85 inbound will be detoured beginning Mon, Jun 15, skipping Amesbury St @ Vassar St (inbound). Riders can board a bus on the corner of Memorial Drive @ Amesbury St.

Green Line C trains will not stop at Tappan Street through Sunday, June 21, due to infrastructure upgrades. Riders can board or exit one stop away, at either Washington Square or Dean Road.

Woburn St @ Lowell St - Reading Sq stop will be moving beginning Sun, Jun 14 due to a safety issue with the nearby level crossings. Riders can board a bus at the Main St @ Lowell St stop (250 ft away) for inbound and outbound service.

Boston Landing Elevator 726 (Platform to Arthur Street pedestrian bridge) is currently out of service.

To board, travel south along Arthur St to Guest St. At Guest St, turn left into the Stop & Shop plaza and continue straight to the end of the parking lot. At the end of the parking lot, turn right and proceed to Everett St. At Everett St, turn left and proceed to Boston Landing Elevator 727 (Platform to Everett Street). To exit, proceed to the opposite end of the platform and use Boston Landing Elevator 727 (Platform to Everett Street).

Boston Landing Elevator 725 (Arthur Street to pedestrian bridge) is currently out of service.

Green Line E Branch: Symphony station is closed for major accessibility upgrades. Riders can use Prudential or Northeastern to access E Branch service. Construction is expected to last approximately 3 years.

Alternate Service Options: • Riders who typically board or disembark at Symphony can instead board or disembark at Northeastern University or Prudential, which are 0.3 miles away (or about a five-minute walk) from Symphony. • Riders are encouraged to instead consider travelling on the Orange Line at Massachusetts Avenue, which is 0.1 miles (or about a three-minute walk) from Symphony. • Riders may also use the Route 39, which operates parallel to the E branch in both directions along Huntington Avenue. Background: Currently, there are no step-free pathways from the entrances to the platforms at Symphony, and the station is not able to be accessed by people with wheeled mobility devices. When construction is complete in spring 2029, Symphony will be enhanced with four new accessible elevators, raised platforms for easier boarding, accessible bathrooms, improved wayfinding, more lighting, and upgraded safety features, making the station safer and easier to use for all riders.

The bus stop at Massachusetts Ave @ Wendell St (outbound) has moved about 100 feet south, from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM on weekdays until further notice, due to construction.

Blue Line: All trains will operate on the outbound/eastbound track between Wonderland and Revere Beach the weekend of June 20 – 21, for switch work. This work will also take place on June 27 - 28.

Train service between Wonderland and Revere Beach will operate on the outbound (Wonderland) track approximately every 14 minutes. At Revere Beach, riders will board at the normal platform locations. Inbound service will continue beyond Revere Beach and operate normally to Bowdoin. Wayfinding: Riders are encouraged to follow directions via station signage and from onsite station personnel. Train predictions via countdown clocks will not be available between Wonderland and Revere Beach. Fares: No fares will be collected at Wonderland. Hingham Ferry Parking Notice: Passengers should allow for extra time to park and to access the ferry in Hingham due to work being done for the new dock. In addition, Route 220 buses are bypassing the shipyard and are remaining on Route 3A.

Pedestrian Access: There is no access between the Hingham Ferry Terminal and DCR building. Pedestrian access to and from the ferry dock is through and around the west side of the Hingham Ferry Terminal. Some sidewalk access at the Terminal may also be restricted during this work. Shipyard Drive: Shipyard Drive is closed to traffic in front of the Hingham Ferry Terminal. Traffic is being rerouted through the Hingham Parking lot. Drop-offs and pick-ups have been relocated to the parking lot. Traffic police and signage will be in place to direct traffic.

To accommodate renovations at Providence Station, construction barriers have been installed and the southern stairwell to Track 1 is out of service. Staircase access is available to Track 3 and Track 5.

The stairway connecting the Jackson Square lobby and the south end of the platform is closed until winter 2026. Use the stairway at the north end of the platform. This closure is for the construction of a new stairway and a second elevator.

The escalator will remain out of service for the foreseeable future. This decision was made after a thorough inspection determined that corrosion on the escalator’s steel truss was so severe that it could not be repaired further and that a complete replacement of the escalator would be required. Replacing the escalator at this location requires a more extended unit meeting modern escalator safety requirements. This longer unit will require significant alteration to the station entrance to meet code requirements. The MBTA has currently begun design work to understand what station upgrades will be needed. Due to these complexities, we expect the escalator will remain out of service for a significant time. We recognize the challenges this poses to our riders, and please know we are working to identify a solution as quickly as possible. In the meantime, Government Center Station, which is fully accessible and serves the Blue Line, is under a quarter-mile from Bowdoin Station.

The platform at Jackson Square is undergoing renovations to improve safety and accessibility. Sections of the platform are unlevel, which may make it difficult for some riders to board and exit trains.
