Please board both Alewife- and Braintree-bound trains on the southbound platform at North Quincy from about 8:45 PM until end of service on Mondays - Fridays from February 19 to March 22.

Due to the Wollaston Station renovation, trains in both directions will share a single track between Quincy Center and North Quincy Red Line passengers are encouraged to allow an extra 10 to 15 minutes of travel time. Single track boarding will run on: February 19 - 22 February 25 - March 1 March 4 - 15 March 18 - 22 Affected stops: North Quincy

Due to construction on the Tobin Bridge & N. Washington St, we anticipate delays to local bus Routes 111, 112, 114, 116, & 117. The Commuter Rail will accept CharlieCards between Chelsea & North Station to provide alternate service options for customers.

During MassDOT's construction on the Tobin Bridge and North Washington Street, the Commuter Rail will accept CharlieCards between Chelsea and North Station (on the Newburyport/Rockport Line) through summer 2019. The trip into North Station is approximately 12 minutes, and trains leave roughly every 30 minutes during peak hours. Schedule for Newburyport/Rockport is available here: mbta.com/schedules/CR-Newburyport/timetable Customers should show their CharlieCard to the conductor or fare inspector when asked. CharlieCards are available at Haymarket and other major stations between 7 AM and 7 PM (2:30 PM on Sundays at Haymarket). Shuttle buses will replace Red Line service between Harvard and Alewife on weekends between February 9 and April 7, 2019, excluding March 16-17, due to track work.

Shuttle buses will replace Red Line service between Harvard and Alewife in both directions on weekends from the start to the end of service, except the weekend of March 16-17. The diversion will allow maintenance crews to perform necessary rail, tie, and overall track work. Interior escalators at Route 128 Station will be closed for replacement beginning February 16. Stairs and elevators will remain open. Work is expected to be completed in early Fall 2019.

Shuttle buses replace Green Line D service between Kenmore and Reservoir during weekends through March 24, excluding March 16-17. The work for this weekend, February 16-17, has been cancelled.

Customers should anticipate adding 15 minutes to their normal trip during this time. We are improving Green Line resiliency by installing flood mitigation and prevention measures, including large steel doors at the entrance to the subway tunnel. Effective February 11 at 12:00 PM, bus routes leaving Malden Station will resume their regular routing through the intersection at Centre Street and Commercial Street.

Thanks to the immediate and effective response by City of Malden Officials and MBTA Operations, the intersection at Centre Street and Commercial Street will once again be utilized by bus routes exiting Malden Station. All routes that formerly utilized Centre Street will resume operations through Centre Street starting Monday, February 11, at 12:00 PM. Affected routes: 101 104 105 106 108 131 136 137 411 430

Central Elevator 860 (Alewife platform to street) unavailable due to maintenance

If exiting at Central Square, exit the train one stop prior at Kendall/MIT. Use call box or see station attendant to request bus shuttle to Central. If boarding at Central Square, use call box or see station attendant to request shuttle to Kendall/MIT for RL service to Alewife. Alternatively, utilize route 1 bus service to Harvard Square. Be mindful, elevator 861 on Ashmont/Braintree platform of Central is also unavailable due to replacement.

Green Line D branch notice: We are experiencing an issue with GPS tracking on D branch trains in the Newton area.

Andrew Elevator 872 (Unpaid lobby to street), Elevator 879 (Ashmont/Braintree platform to paid lobby), and Elevator 880 (Alewife platform to paid lobby) are out of service through spring 2019 while they are replaced.

Customers looking to exit the Red Line at Andrew should exit at Broadway and utilize a station call box or see station personnel to request shuttle bus service to Andrew. Shuttle bus pick-up is located on the Dorchester Avenue side of Broadway Station. Customers looking to board at Andrew should utilize shuttle bus service to Broadway to make Red Line connections. The elevators are being taken out of service to facilitate a full replacement of the elevator lifts, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

The Beacon Street entrance to Yawkey Station is closed for approximately one year, through December 2019, due to the Fenway Center construction project. Access will be via Maitland Street and David Ortiz Drive.

The pedestrian bridge at the Braintree Parking Garage will be closed through Summer 2020 due to construction.

For access to Braintree Station during this closure, travel down to the first floor and use the pedestrian crosswalk to enter the station at the street level. This closure is due to the South Shore Parking Garages Improvements and Renovations Project. The pedestrian bridge will be replaced by a new garage lobby featuring elevators and stairwells. The pedestrian walkway near Kendall/MIT Station (inbound) is closed until further notice due to MIT construction.

Access to the Kendall/MIT Station will remain open and accessible on the Main Street side of the station throughout this construction. The pedestrian plaza between Carleton Street and Main Street in Kendall Square will be closed due to the construction of an underground garage. Customers are encouraged to utilize alternative paths to/from the station using the paths on Ames Street, Dock Street, or Wadsworth Street. Affected routes: Red Line

Beginning Sunday, February 17, the North Quincy Hancock Street Parking Lot will be reduced to 260 parking spots due to construction of a new garage and mixed retail and residential use building.

During garage construction, 592 spots at the North Quincy Hancock Street lot will be unavailable. More than 600 spots will be available in two surface lots: 350 spots at Newport Avenue lot 260 spots at Hancock Street lot Alternative parking and travel options include: 423 spots at Wollaston Station during the station closure, with free shuttle service between North Quincy, Quincy Center, and Wollaston Stations.
