On Saturday, July 27, from the start of service through 7 pm, and on Sunday, July 28, from 8 am trough 7 pm, there will be no service between N. Wilmington & N. Station. MBTA Bus 137 will accommodate passengers for service between Reading and Oak Grove.

This diversion will allow for work on North Wilmington Station and the rail replacement work. Red Line Braintree Branch: Shuttle buses will be replacing service between JFK/UMass and Braintree from September 6-29 for track work.

Alternate service will be a combination of shuttle bus service replacement that serves all closed stations and adjacent Commuter Rail options. These plans are currently being finalized. There will also be increased service on the Ashmont Branch in order to maintain train frequency through the Red Line core between JFK/UMass and Alewife. Commuter Rail train service is suspended at Haverhill station through Summer 2025 to allow for work on the South Elm Street Bridge. An accessible van operates between Haverhill and Bradford.

Built in 1906, the South Elm Bridge is beyond its useful life and ready to be replaced. Using accelerated bridge construction techniques to reduce customer and traffic impacts, the MBTA will replace the nearly-120-year-old bridge with a modern single-span structure with a useful life of 75 years. The new structure will include a ballasted steel deck, which means a smoother ride for passengers. The MBTA will also perform roadway, sidewalk, and drainage improvements along South Elm Street.

The Downtown Crossing elevator at 101 Arch St (Summer St to Red Line Alewife and Ashmont/Braintree platforms and Orange Line Oak Grove platform) is out of service.

To exit the Red Line, exit the train at Park Street Station and use Park Street Elevator 808 located at the end of the Red Line center platform to access the Winter St concourse. At the Winter St concourse, take Park Street Elevator 804 to the corner of Tremont St & Summer St. To board a Red Line train, travel to the corner to Washington St and Winter St and take Downtown Crossing Elevator 892 to the Winter St Concourse. At the Winter St Concourse, turn left and travel up the Concourse towards Park St. At the end of the Concourse, take Park St Elevator 808 to the Red Line platform.

The accessible mini high-level platforms at Beverly Depot will be closed for replacement through Summer 2024. Please board trains from the temporary boarding areas.

To cross the tracks, please use the pedestrian crossing in front of the Beverly Depot restaurant. Passengers may also consider travel to/from Salem station. MBTA Bus #451 provides accessible service to Salem from Cabot Street in Beverly.

The Quincy Adams parking garage has re-opened with most parking spaces available. Customers can access the garage via the Route 3 off ramp exit as well as the Burgin Parkway entrance.

Beginning November 29, the parking lot across from the station will close. Please use the garage or adjacent surface lot as an alternative. The Quincy Adams Garage drop-off and pick-up location will remain at its location within Level 1B. The garage will be PayByPhone / PayByPlate with no need to pay to exit. More information on how to pay for parking is available at mbta.com/parking. Affected routes: Red Line

The Braintree Parking Garage has re-opened with most parking spots available. The surface lot on Ivory St will remain open as an alternate parking option.

Riders can continue to use PayByPhone or pay-by-plate with the same parking fees as other MBTA surface lots. Affected routes: Red Line

The Riverside Ave entrance at Campello Station is currently closed. Passengers may continue to use the Plain St entrance.

Ruggles Escalator 136 (Orange Line platform to upper lobby) unavailable due to maintenance

Bowdoin Escalator 125 (Lobby to street) is unavailable until further notice pending replacement.

The escalator will remain out of service for the foreseeable future. This decision was made after a thorough inspection determined that corrosion on the escalator’s steel truss was so severe that it could not be repaired further and that a complete replacement of the escalator would be required. Replacing the escalator at this location requires a more extended unit meeting modern escalator safety requirements. This longer unit will require significant alteration to the station entrance to meet code requirements. The MBTA has currently begun design work to understand what station upgrades will be needed. Due to these complexities, we expect the escalator will remain out of service for a significant time. We recognize the challenges this poses to our riders, and please know we are working to identify a solution as quickly as possible. In the meantime, Government Center Station, which is fully accessible and serves the Blue Line, is under a quarter-mile from Bowdoin Station.

Andrew Escalator 123 (Ashmont/Braintree platform to busway) unavailable due to maintenance

Oak Grove Elevator 800 (Busway, Commuter Rail, parking lot to lobby) unavailable due to maintenance

To exit, upon exiting the faregates, turn left and proceed to Oak Grove Elevator 745 to access the busway and parking lot. To board, proceed to the station entrance located near the busway and use Oak Grove Elevator 745 to access the lobby. Alternatively, customers may utilize Oak Grove Elevator 744 (Lobby to Washington St.) located at the station entrance on Washington St.

The door to enter the Forest Hills Pedal and Park is not functioning. We are working to have it addressed as quickly as possible,

Lynn Parking Garage arcade stairs 1 and 2 are closed until further notice due to structural issues. Customers may exit the garage via elevators to the ground level or by using the south stairs located on the Market street side of the garage.

Vehicular access to the upper 2 levels of the garage is restricted. The garage has sufficient parking capacity to accommodate daily demand.

South Station Pedal & Park is closed due to construction. Bicycle racks are currently available on Atlantic Ave adjacent to the South Station main entrance.
