World Trade Center Elevator 934 (Lobby to World Trade Center Avenue) is unavailable due to maintenance.

To access World Trade Center Ave from the lobby, use World Trade Center Elevator 935 to access the South Station platform. Take an SL1, SL2 or SL3 bus inbound to South Station, then proceed to the Route 7 bus stop located on Summer St. Take a Route 7 (City Point) bus to Summer St opposite WTC Ave. To access the lobby from World Trade Center Ave, travel south on World Trade Center Ave to the Route 7 bus stop at Summer St & WTC Ave, and take a Route 7 (Otis & Summer) bus to Summer St & Atlantic Ave. Proceed to the South Station Silver Line platform, then take an SL1, SL2 or SL3 bus outbound to World Trade Center and use World Trade Center Elevator 935.

The Central Avenue mini-high platform (Ashmont side) is out of service. To board or exit an Ashmont bound trolley, riders will have to use the mini-high platform on the Mattapan side and transfer at either Valley Road or Milton.

On weekends of October, 2026, a special event schedule will be in effect on the Newburyport/Rockport Line with increased service between Beverly and North Station to support Salem's Haunted Happenings events. No bike allowed on any weekend train.

From Sat, Oct 3 through Sun, Oct 4, Fall River/New Bedford Line will be replaced by a shuttle bus between Middleborough and New Bedford and Middleborough and Fall River for track improvement work.

Shuttle Routes: Note that the New Bedford shuttle will not serve East Taunton. For travel to East Taunton from New Bedford or Church St, take the inbound shuttle to Middleborough and then the outbound Fall River shuttle to East Taunton. Travel Time: Riders using the shuttle buses should budget extra travel time. For example, a rider traveling to South Station from Fall River or New Bedford should budget an extra 30-40 minutes in addition to their regular trip time. Blue Line: To accomplish switch work at Wonderland, all trains will operate on the outbound/eastbound track between Wonderland and Revere Beach the weekends of October 3 - 4 and 17 - 18.

Train service between Wonderland and Revere Beach will operate on the outbound (Wonderland) track approximately every 14 minutes. At Revere Beach, riders will board at the normal platform locations. Inbound service will continue beyond Revere Beach and operate normally to Bowdoin. Wayfinding: Riders are encouraged to follow directions via station signage and from onsite station personnel. Train predictions via countdown clocks will not be available between Wonderland and Revere Beach. Fares: No fares will be collected at Wonderland. Travel Time: Riders will experience longer wait times and should allow extra travel time during this work.

Express shuttles will make all stops between Framingham and Wellesley Hills and then travel express directly to Back Bay or South Station. Local buses will operate between Wellesley Hills and either Back Bay or South Station and make a stop at Riverside for Green Line D-Branch service. South Acton Elevator 704 (Track 1 (outbound platform) to pedestrian bridge) is unavailable.

To travel from the Fitchburg platform to the North Station platform, travel to the east end of the platform and proceed down the ramp to the small parking lot. Continue east on Railroad St to Main St. At Main St, turn right and continue to Maple St. At Maple St, turn right and continue to the walkway that leads to the platform. To travel from the North Station platform to the Fitchburg platform, travel east on Maple St towards Main St. At Main St, turn left and continue to Railroad St. At Railroad St, turn left and continue to the station, where a ramp to the Fitchburg platform is located next the small parking lot.

Fare Validation Machines are being installed at all Fairmount Line stations. Passengers will need to validate their fare to scan through the gates at South Station.

• Fare Vending Machines will be available for customer use immediately after install. • Customers can purchase tickets and reload CharlieCards. • Customers can ALSO use a Rapid Transit Pass or Stored Value on a CharlieCard to Validate. • Installation of machines are dependent on weather and availability of flagging resources.

The elevator will be closed for major equipment upgrades that will significantly improve the long-term reliability of this elevator. To board a Train to Forest Hills: Cross Milk St and go south on Washington St for one-tenth of a mile (two blocks) to the intersection of Washington St and Winter St. Take Downtown Crossing Elevator 892 to the Forest Hills platform. To board a Train to Oak Grove: Cross Milk St and go south on Washington St for 500 ft (one block) to the intersection of Washington St and Franklin St. Take Downtown Crossing Elevator 891 to the Oak Grove platform. To exit the station: Go to the end of the Forest Hills platform and continue down the hallway (follow signs for Oak Grove and Blue Line) to the Wonderland platform. At the Wonderland platform, go to the 53 State St lobby and use State Elevator 975 to exit.

Green Line E Branch: Symphony station is closed for major accessibility upgrades. Riders can use Prudential or Northeastern to access E Branch service. The station is expected to reopen in 2029.

Alternate Service Options: • Riders who typically board or disembark at Symphony can instead board or disembark at Northeastern University or Prudential, which are 0.3 miles away (or about a five-minute walk) from Symphony. • Riders are encouraged to instead consider travelling on the Orange Line at Massachusetts Avenue, which is 0.1 miles (or about a three-minute walk) from Symphony. • Riders may also use the Route 39, which operates parallel to the E branch in both directions along Huntington Avenue. Background: Currently, there are no step-free pathways from the entrances to the platforms at Symphony, and the station is not able to be accessed by people with wheeled mobility devices. When construction is complete in spring 2029, Symphony will be enhanced with four new accessible elevators, raised platforms for easier boarding, accessible bathrooms, improved wayfinding, more lighting, and upgraded safety features, making the station safer and easier to use for all riders.

Littleton/Route 495 passengers can expect occasional traffic and detours when accessing the station due to the Foster Street reconstruction work.

Scheduled to complete sometime in 2027, the reconstruction of Foster Street includes widening and resurfacing, with the addition of bicycle lanes.

There is no accessible path connecting the inbound and outbound platforms at Wellesley Square Station. The existing path includes steep slopes and is long. Designs are underway to provide for a fully compliant pathway.

There are accessible mini-high platforms at the western end of both the Track 1 and Track 2 sides. However, the existing pedestrian path between the two sides is long and includes steep slopes, especially on the Crest Road bridge over the tracks. Designs are underway to provide for a fully compliant pathway.

The Riverside Ave entrance at Campello Station is currently closed. Passengers may continue to use the Plain St entrance.

Beginning July 13, 2026, the Woburn Anderson Regional Transportation Center will undergo a major paving and infrastructure improvement project, with work expected to be completed by November 16, 2026. To support these critical renovations and enhance the long-term safety and functionality of the facility, select areas of the MBTA Daily Lot and the gated Overnight Lot will be temporarily closed throughout the construction period. Motorists and facility users are encouraged to plan accordingly and carefully follow all posted signage, traffic control measures, and parking restrictions to ensure a safe and efficient experience during the project.

Hingham Ferry Parking Notice: Passengers should allow for extra time to park and to access the ferry in Hingham due to work being done for the new dock. In addition, Route 220 buses are bypassing the shipyard and are remaining on Route 3A.

Pedestrian Access: There is no access between the Hingham Ferry Terminal and DCR building. Pedestrian access to and from the ferry dock is through and around the west side of the Hingham Ferry Terminal. Some sidewalk access at the Terminal may also be restricted during this work. Shipyard Drive: Shipyard Drive is closed to traffic in front of the Hingham Ferry Terminal. Traffic is being rerouted through the Hingham Parking lot. Drop-offs and pick-ups have been relocated to the parking lot. Traffic police and signage will be in place to direct traffic.

The escalator will remain out of service for the foreseeable future. This decision was made after a thorough inspection determined that corrosion on the escalator’s steel truss was so severe that it could not be repaired further and that a complete replacement of the escalator would be required. Replacing the escalator at this location requires a more extended unit meeting modern escalator safety requirements. This longer unit will require significant alteration to the station entrance to meet code requirements. The MBTA has currently begun design work to understand what station upgrades will be needed. Due to these complexities, we expect the escalator will remain out of service for a significant time. We recognize the challenges this poses to our riders, and please know we are working to identify a solution as quickly as possible. In the meantime, Government Center Station, which is fully accessible and serves the Blue Line, is under a quarter-mile from Bowdoin Station.

Lynn Parking Garage is partially closed, but has sufficient parking capacity to accommodate daily demand.
